February 2021 and we’re well into Lockdown part 3. The past 11 months have seen big changes in the way we live our lives and to the way we train. If you’d asked me this time last year if I’d offer online training, I would have laughed at the idea. But when the global pandemic hit, it was online training or nothing.
Like businesses up and down the country, when that first lockdown was announced in March 2020, Positive Impact Fitness had to do some quick thinking, but with the support from my fantastic clients, we were soon up and running with online training sessions – thank goodness for modern technology!
What COVID-19 has really highlighted is that people who want to train will find a way to do so. People want to stay fit and healthy (both physically and mentally). And for many, they want personal training regardless of whether it is in person or virtually.
Being stuck at home, with limited options to exercise…or to do anything physical…has really lit the fire in people’s bellies to train. The enthusiasm has been wonderful to see. And Positive Impact Fitness has done all it can to satisfy that hunger to train.
I will always prefer seeing people face-to-face, and I hope this will return soon. But it is important to adjust with the times.
For some, online training may have been born out of necessity, but it will remain long into the future. The flexibility online training allows – where time is tight or work requires travelling (assuming that will return in some form) – will clearly suit some better than the face-to-face.
So, for those who want it, online personal training is here to stay.
